Ana “The Hurricane” Julaton is set to step in to the ring soon. She is coming off a loss that has critics wondering if she is overrated. She says she’s ready to deal with the pressure that comes with this shot at redemption.
“All I need to do is make sure I do my job. For me, it’s all about my attitude,” Ana said Thursday at a news conference in North York. “There’s always going to be pressure, it’s just a matter of what you’re focusing your energy on. My concern is the fight.”
She will be facing Mexico’s Maria Elena Villalobos in the co-main event of Rumble at Rama XII on June 30th. Her last fight not only lost her the WBA 122-pound title, but Toronto’s Lisa Brown gave Ana a brutal boxing lesson over 10 rounds, winning nearly every round.
Unlike when Gina Caranowas served last year and has yet to reclaim her reputation as an MMA fighter, Ana is ready to prove she is more than a pretty face with a few wins. She wants to make sure the record shows her as the boxing sensation she is wholeheartedly.
