Toni Marie Geiger is the #1 ranked female judo athlete in the U.S. and a member of Team USA. She has her sights on the 2012 Olympics and there isn’t a reason in the world why she won’t make it. However, she has her work cut out for her, and not just on the mat…U.S. athletes don’t receive government funding so the two-time New Jersey state champion will have to raise the money she needs to train, travel and compete herself. Her fight is one true heart and passion.
“My competing nationally and internationally has been an experience of a lifetime,” Toni said. “My recent accomplishments have been winning bronze in the Pan American Team Championships in El Salvador as well as the Finnish Open in Vannta, Finland.”
