Yes, you read that correctly. Linda McMahon will be battling Connecticut Democrat Christopher Dodd for his Senate seat.

“I never do anything half-heartedly,” McMahon said in a telephone interview Wednesday with The Associated Press. “I am 100 percent serious about this race.”

Christopher Dodd’s Senate seat is considered one of the most vulnerable seats in the upcoming election. Linda McMahon, 60, on Senator Dodd:

“(Dodd has)…lost his way and our trust.”

Linda McMahon co-founded the WWE with Vince McMahon. She has served as WWE CEO since 1997. Vince will assume the vacated CEO position.

“The product of WWE is currently very separate from the issues that are facing this country. We’ve got this unbelievable debt. We’ve got people out of work … I hope that the focus in this campaign will be on the serious nature of the issues that are facing this country.”
