Podobedova Svetlana, 23 year-old, of Kazakhstan was busy breaking records today in Goyang, South Korea, at the weightlifting championships. Podobedova was in the 75-kg class and hit 132 kg in the snatch, and 160 kg in the clean and jerk to finish with a combined lift of 292 kg. She now holds the record in the snatch and the clean and jerk giving her a record in the combined lifts in her class too! Her world records were rewarded with gold medals…an accomplishment well deserved.
