Shondell Alfred, International Boxing Association (WIBA) bantamweight champion, made no mistake in her rematch against Corinne Van Ryck De Groot defending her title and silencing critics. The rematch came about after a lot of controversy in their last match where the judges found Shondell to be victorious. Promoters called for the rematch and Shondell delivered a TKO one minute and 24 seconds into the fourth round.
Shondell, 25-years-old, said, “It was great to put out such a performance in front of my home crowd and I was always convinced that I won the first fight. The De Groot page is turned, the De Droot chapter is closed. It is time for me to move on.”
