The ladies tournament in the Wimbledon has been full of surprises. The tournament has taken a series of twists and turns that no one could have forcasted. But one thing that is of no surprise is Serena Williams is in the finals. She will face Vera Zvonareva (ranked #21 in the world).
“On paper it looks like I should win, but the biggest thing is for me to stay positive and not put too much pressure on myself,” Serena said (ranked #1).
“It’s going to be a tough challenge,” Vera said after winning her semi-final match against Tsvetana Pironkova (who surprisingly put Venus Williams out of the competition). “Serena is a great player, defending champion. But I always believe in myself. I know if I play my best tennis I can beat anyone on the other side of the net.”
It will not be long before we have a winner, and if there are any more surprises left, Serena may not have a good fourth of July. But, we believe that she will pull this win and leave with another Wimbledon Victory.
