Eri Yoshida, 18-years-old, was the first women to play in the professional men’s league and is getting ready to make her debut in the United States doing the same. She recently took part in US tryout winter league in Arizona. Now she isn’t in a tryout league, she is officially on the Chico Outlaws of the Golden Baseball League. She is the first women to play on a professional men’s team since Ila Borders retired in 2000.

Chico Outlaws team president Mike Marshall said his club was “one of the leading teams in moving players to major league organisations and will be a fine showcase for her to show her talent.”
