Indonesian women’s weightlifter Sri Hartati won gold medal at the 2015 World Weightlifting Championship in Luxembourg by lifting total of 537.5-kilogram weight. Sri’s compatriot Noviana Sari who competed in women’s 63 kilograms category also contributed one bronze medal at the event.
Data from the Indonesian Weightlifting Federation (PB PABBSI) details types of lift Sri had successfully perform, including 210-kilogram squat-lifting, 135-kilogram bench press, and 192.5-kilogram deadlift.
PB PABBSI Chairman, Rosan P. Roeslani lauded Sri’s achievement. He believes that it would motivate other Indonesian athletes who will compete in the upcoming world championship in Houston, United States.
“This is a cheering start and hopefully the same will be gained by lifters who compete in world championship in Houston,” Rosan said in a press release.
