Ho, ho, no bellies like bowls full of jelly this year — granny’s got her guns out.

Muscle-bound grandma Lesley Maxwell is motivating the masses to keep the holiday pounds off by swapping out sweet treats for high-protein eats, bypassing sugary booze and squeezing in a post-Christmas dinner workout with family and friends.

“My tips for eating over the Christmas period would be to eat more turkey rather than cakes,” Maxwell, 64, told JamPress. “One is protein, while the other breaks down into sugar.”

The world-champion figure competitor from Melbourne, Australia, also advises weight-conscious merrymakers to avoid guzzling hidden sugars in festive wines and wassails.

“I would say go easy on the soft drinks and wine, too, as these are empty calories and usually get stored as soft body fat,” the divorcee and popular granfluencer recommended.

And when it comes to fighting the temptation to overindulge on any yummy yuletide fare, Maxwell suggests taking a short break in between courses rather than forking in heaps and heaps of food.

“There’s no need to eat everything offered to you,” said the size 8 grandmother, who said she regularly gets hit on by men as young as 18 years old. “If you’ve finished your meal and [are] offered more food, simply wait a minute. The feeling of overeating usually goes away.”

And Maxwell — who works out five times a week with her gym-obsessed granddaughter Tia, 20, and is often mistaken for her sister — believes inviting holiday guests to join in on a post-chow-down power walk is a great way to burn off extra Christmas calories.

“Power walking effectively can work every muscle in your legs and glutes, plus great for your core muscles too,” said the 30-time fitness titleholder. “Take large strides and squeeze your butt at the top of the movement.”

Maxwell’s been following her own lean-and-mean health regime for the last 14 years. She initially embarked on her body transformation journey as a way to cope with her divorce from her ex-husband — who was 13 years her junior.

And now, as the hot gym granny who recently went viral with Tia for their “Grandmother vs. Granddaughter” exercise Instagram challenge, Maxwell said she can’t keep younger guys away.

“Of course I appreciate the male followers and men definitely add spice to life,” she said, noting the influx of youthful gentleman callers her toned and trending body has recently beckoned to her verified social media account.

“I take everything as a compliment — it’s really great that they even follow me,” Maxwell added, insisting that you can be as “old or young as you like,” depending on how you take care of your body with healthy eating and exercise.

Maxwell says you can be as old or as young as you'd like as long as you take proper care of your body through healthy eating and regular exercise.
