Lindsey Jacobellis, the favorite for the snowboard cross and 2009 winner the Visa U.S. SBX championships and SBX World Cup, fell short in Vancouver. During the semifinals, Lindsey was disqualified for crashing into a gate and steering off course. She was reduced to a final bracket with the bottom half of the finishers of the semi-finals only to crush that run and end up with a fifth place finish. Very disappointing for the US hopeful who should have had podium time!
