Jacinta Carroll, 17-year-old New Zealand water skiing prodigy, has just matched the record set by Karina Nowlan in 2004 for the girls’ junior world jump record. She jumped an amazing 45.4m, which is 150 feet, or 50 yards. Yup, that’s half of a football feild! However, her name will not see the record books since it wasn’t achieved at the junior world titles.

Jacinta was too old to compete in the World Junior Titles in Italy this past August but hopes to be the number one Australian women selected for the World Senior Championships in Russia next year.
