Samantha Stosur, 25-years-old, has set herself the goal of cracking the world’s top 10 in tennis next year. She is currently ranked 13, but plans to push the envelope. With the comeback stories of tennis legends and the Williams sisters, she has her work cut out for her. But, the Australian hopeful plans to start her quest this weekend in the mixed teams at the Hopman Cup. Her partner will be double grand slam winner Lleyton Hewitt and they are looking to make waves.
“I have had the best year of my career this year (2009) and I hope to build on that,” Samantha told press. “I have improved a lot and it is all going in the right direction. I’d love to be top 10 and I am not too far off it and that is definitely the next goal. I am only going to get there if I keep doing what I am doing.”
