I first touched on flexibility here with a brief description and demo photo, but do believe I forgot to list the benefits, which are:

~ Increases blood supply and nutrients to joint structures
~ Increases circulation
~ Greater elasticity of surrounding tissues
~ Reduced muscle soreness post workout
~ Helps your body recuperate from stress
