Everyone loves a comeback story. But this tennis superstar has been a bit overlooked in Serena Williams wake. Kim Clijsters, a 26-years-old Belgian mother, was an unseeded entry in the 2009 US open this year. 
Kim played both Williams sisters and defeated each, advancing her into the finals after a 27-month leave from the sport. She wasn’t even a long shot for the win, she was a no-shot.
However, history teaches us over and over that the unbelievable happens. It happened on that court when Kim won the finals in two easy sets. She is also the first mother to ever win the US Open…Kim’s may be the comeback story of the year.
