The night before the Australian Open began, top tennis stars and promoters offered an exhibition that “offered a rare glimpse at the camaraderie behind their on-court rivalries,” according to sportsnet.ca. The event raised $185,000 and the number is expected to increase. The night showcased mixed-doubles matches with each player wearing a microphone to allow those in the packed 15,000-seat stadium to get a first rate look at each players personality.
