Karuna Waghmare, a 41 year old female bodybuilding athlete has been trending on social media as Salman Khan has vowed to help her in getting sponsors for participating international events. Karuna, a two-time world champion had been looking for sponsorship to participate in international events.
That is when Salman Khan decided to help her poach sponsors and help her in times of need. She is the first Indian IFBB female athlete from India to have won a pro medal at Olympia at the 49th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Championship.
Karuna is a two time World champion, two time Asian champion and two time National champion too!
According to a leading daily, Karuna and her husband met Salman Khan in Karjat where the actor agreed to help her out.
Having been born in a conservative family, she was kept away from it as it wasn’t considered to be something that women should do.
Karuna beacame the 1st Indian IBFF female athlete to win a pro medal at the Olympia but she ahd to go door to door to collect funds for participating in her last event.
She has won various laurels in her career including Miss India Physique, Miss Asia Physique, Miss World Physique among others.
She is a trainer and a fitness model as well.
She even won the Mrs. India award in 2015.
