Isabelle Turell is out of the 2009 Ms. Olympia. The Olympia Weekend, scheduled for September 24 – 27th, 2009, is only a week away, but a knee injury is holding Isabelle back:
From Sioux Country…”I had pulled out of the Olympia 4 weeks (ago) due to a knee injury. The doctor was concerned that if I continued on at the pace I was at, then I would need surgery to fix it. He mentioned that if I ceased everything, and stayed off of it as much as I could that my knee should be okay in 8 weeks. I did what was best for me and for my love of competing in the sport. Of course I am very upset about all of this as it was my dream but I can say its not the end of the world and I can assure you there will be many more Ms. Olympias.”
This would have been the first Ms. Olympia contest for Isabelle Turell. She earned her Pro Card with a first place finish in the Heavyweight and Overall divisions at the 2008 NPC USAs. Isabelle also took home a 7th place finish at the 2009 Ms. International.
