Princeton local Emily Jondron, age 16, broke her own world record by lifting 304 pounds during a bench press lift at the World Bench Press and Deadlifters Championship in Las Vegas on Nov. 22. Jondron competed with more than 500 lifters from all over the world. Each competitor was placed in a category for body weight, gender and age. Jondron was placed in the women’s Teen division for ages 16-17.
Jondron also took first place in deadlift and first in push/pull (adds a person’s top bench press with their deadlift weight) ,which was also new world record and best overall teen bench press (ages 16-19).
With these additional accomplishments Jondron is now a four-time world record holder and two-time world champion in bench press, world champion in deadlift, world record holder and world champion for push-pull and 2 time Best Female lifter for bench press.
Jondron is a junior at Princeton High school and is a member of the high school Powerlifting Team.
