She first found fame as a mouthy diva on infamous TV3 reality show Tallafornia.
But Kelly Donegan swapped the alcohol for protein shakes and has landed a book deal with a top publishing house.
The Dubliner turned to the gym and bodybuilding after the fallout from the show and the end of her relationship with co-star Dave Behan.
Kelly will bring out her first book – Build Your Own Body – with Gill Books this year.
The 25-year-old, who claims she was misrepresented on the show, told the Diary that the book has given her a chance to show her true self.
“It’s been a lot of work so I feel like this is my second crack of the whip and I’m really excited,” she said.
Following the demise of Tallafornia, Kelly said that appearing on the short-lived show damaged her modelling career. She also went through a very public break-up with her co-star Dave Behan.
However, the slender brunette, who has taken part in a number of bodybuilding competitions in recent years, said that she has given up on the fashion industry.
“I’m not modelling anymore, I’m just focusing on fitness and my online stuff,” she told the Diary.
Kelly is not the only one with book news as model turned blogger Pippa O’Connor has landed a book deal.
The Kildare woman is putting the finishing touches to her first literary effort – a fashion, beauty and lifestyle book – after signing a deal with Penguin Random House.
The book is almost finished and due out next October.
