A Madisonville resident has won first place in a championship bodybuilding competition recently in Lexington.
Chelsea Ashby won first place in the bikini open and second place in the novice class at the Tricky Jackson Classic Championships held in Lexington. She is now targeting the nationals May 21 in South Carolina.
IFBB Pro owner and trainer of Success Fitness Systems Fitness Center Iryna McCraw said Chelsea has the winner’s look.
“She’s worked very hard for it,” said McCraw. “With determination to the sport and healthy lifestyle makes Chelsea one of the favorites to win her division in her next competition. Chelsea competed in a couple of previous competitions, and has top trophies in her hands already. She is now qualified for the national competition and we’re looking forward to a successful and great 2016.”
