Vietnam took the bronze medal at the Asian Wrestling Championship with Nguyen Thi Lua. Nguyen competes in the women’s 48 kg class (105 pounds). She defeated a girl form Kazakhstan to advance to the semifinals, but she lost to a competitor from Japan which led her to a match against a Kyrgyzstan rival. She won that match and went home with the bronze medal. Last September, at the World Championships, she came in fifth.
