Actress, musician… bodybuilder?
Juliette Lewis has posted a picture revealing her unbelievably toned torso.
The 41-year-old posted the snap to her instagram account on Wednesday, claiming she as ‘Gettin closer to my goal of “light weight body builder”!! Haha. @barrysbootcamp’.
The Cape Fear star can be seen as she stands in front of a mirror in a gym having worked up a sweat, wearing tight cyan patterned yoga pants and a dark blue sports bra.
As she flexes her arms, chest and abdomen, the definition on her muscles clearly back up her bodybuilder boast.
Just hours earlier, the very first trailer for her new film Jem And The Holograms was released.
Fans of the original 80s cartoon might be a little bit disappointed by how much the live action treatment appears to divert.
In the Lewis plays the clearly evil record company exec Erica Raymond, a female version of one of the cartoons main antagonist Eric Raymond.
But where Eric frequent and outrageous attempts to murder and kidnap Jem’s orphan friends just for the sake of it, Erica’s evilness seems to extend to trying to get Jem to dump her bandmates for a shot at an even more successful solo career – which sounds like something any normal music industry exec might do.
‘The whole world wants to know who you are right now,’ she says in the trailer. ‘An icon is not one of four; it’s one of a kind.’
In the cartoon, protagonist Jerrica Benton takes on the form of her rockstar persona Jem with the help of her holographic computer Synergy, which projects the illusion via remote micro-projectors in her earrings.
Her band the Holograms, made up of her younger sister do battle with rival band The Misfits
However if the new two-and-a-half minute trailer is anything to go by, the film will be far more grounded that its ‘outrageous’ cartoon.
Nashville actress Aubrey Peeples takes on the lead role as a shy singer who’s little sister uploads a video of her performing on the internet, which explodes in popularity… but as always, fame comes with a price.
While she can be heard muttering her catchphrase ‘Showtime Synergy’ and tugging on her earring, it looks unlikely the film will feature any actual holograms at all.
