Mandy Bujold, 22-years-old, has left her job and devoted her life to train as a flyweight boxer. Her resources are limited and funding is yet to be made available, but that’s not what is on her mind. Mandy is only thinking about a spot in the 2012 Olympics. She’s a 5-foot-2, 112-pound and as hard hitting as they come.

“She broke a man’s nose in the gym a couple of months ago,” said Rick Cadilha, her coach of seven years. “He’s still recovering and wants to get back in there with her for payback.”

When the announcement was made that three categories of women’s boxing would be included, for the first time, to the Olympic Games, Mandy quit her job. She is a five-time Canadian champion and for several years, has been ranked in the top five in the world. But now, the real training begins.
