The South Jersey Storm All-Star Cheerleading team is not cheering for any team. In fact, al the cheering is for them. The Friday night lights mean very little to their sport. These athletes grind it out for one reason, to win.
The co-ed team of 36 are fantastic tumblers, dancers and stunters. They practice like football players and pull-off intricate routines like they are easy. The South Jersey Storm is ranked third in the world, and that is huge. Typically, competitive cheer is not widely associated with South Jersey, but that is all changing.
Competitive gymnasts generally only have college to look towards as they grow in their sport, but the Olympic committee has been petitioned to include it in the 2016 games. In accordance there will be an exhibition in the 2012 Summer Olympics, and six former and present South Jersey Storm cheerleaders have been placed on the 30-member USA Olympic Cheerleading Team.
