Queen Harrison brought light to Virginia Tech’s Track and Field program. This weekend she is competing in her final college meet, the NCAA outdoor championships, where she hoping to take home two national titles. She has the fastest time in the natioin in both of her events: 12.61 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles (also the best time in the world this year) and 54.66 in the 400 hurdles (fourth in the world this year).
She has already stepped on the most competitive track in the world. She ran the 400 hurdles at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and finished 13th in the semifinals. She won the 60 meter hurdles this year at the NCAA indoor meet. That win made her the third Virginia Tech athlete, and first female, to win a national title in any sport.
Queen looks forward to her career after college and we look forward to her representing us in the international meets! Not to mention, we love how strong she looks doing what she loves!
