Lindsay Tarpley has been a shining star and on national radar since high school. ESPN.com has named Lindsay the national girls soccer player of the DECADE! Lindsay was a clear choice, not just because she was a two-time Olympic medalist, or that she has been a star player for the U.S. National team for six year.

They look at all on Lindsay’s attributions on and off the field. In high school, she spent many games on the side lines due to a policy that suspended players if they missed games to play on the National team. She could have avoided the suspension and hassle of trying to change policy by leaving her school team, but Lindsay made a commitment. She kept it, she fought the system, she sat out, but she stood by her team and she stood by her obligations. She is the epitome of an all-star: super star talent on the field and super sportsmanship/honor off the field.
