Laura Croft is anything but new. Between movies, video games and comics, Laura Croft has quite a reputation in each media. Today, Laura Croft is getting a fresh face, Alison Carroll, for the new Tomb Raider: Underworld game. She will be traveling, meeting fans and doing promotions and advertisments, in character, as Laura Croft.
Alison, 23-years-old, was an elite gymnast for 12-years representing Great Britain. She taking courses including SAS survival, combat and semi-automatic weapon firing and a crash course in world archaeology to transform her into Lara Croft. Even before taking this role, Alison trained six days a week and feels her gymnastics back ground will assist her in the stunts needed for her character.
“This is my dream job. I have always wanted to be an action hero and hope to be able to use my gymnastic ability to perform all of Lara’s stunts,” Alison said.
