The sunny shore of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, will be hosting its first all-women’s show Saturday, October 10, 2009. The show will include IFBB Pro Fitness and Figure as well as a NPC National Qualifier.
Fit Girls Productions is bringing a twist to the show. It will include a red carpet entrance and “Starlet” treatment. This will be the first show qualifying competitors for the 2010 Olympia, and is the first show adopting the new fitness rounds for the IFBB.
Fitness has always been made up of four rounds: 2 routine rounds (45-second routine with mandatory elements and a 2-minute with complete creative license), a 1-piece and a 2-piece physique rounds. Beginning with the Oct. 10 show, IFBB fitness will consist of two rounds, the 2-min routine and 2-piece physique.
Now, IFBB Figure are the only competitors with two seperate physique rounds. Be sure to check back for Ft. Lauderdale Cup updates and results.
