I have always enjoyed figure skating…always been seduced by the grace and skill of such beautiful figures dancing on thin blades along the ice, jumping and spinning in death defying skills. I grew up with Nancy Kerrigan, Michelle Kwan, and of course Tonya Harding. But today, I can’t name one girl going into the Olympics.
It seems like the sport has lost some of the umph and most of the thrill. I’m not saying t hat someone should take a bat to some knee caps, not that I wouldn’t read that article or watch that YouTube, twice, but I do think it needs some one who has a presence, weights more than a letter opener and possess the ‘it’ factor.
