Eri Yoshida may only be 18-years-old, but she’s already made a name for herself in the world. Eri was the first female to be drafted in the Japanese Major League and play along side male teammates. As a pitcher she has been clocked at 63 mph with her signature knuckleball clocking 50 mph. She has left Japan to play for the Arizona Winter League (AWL), and will begin her state side career tonight against Team Canada.
Eri’s small frame, standing at only 5’1″ and weighing 114lbs makes you wonder how such a big pitch could come out of something so small.
