Standing Barbell Curl Instructions:
Pick up the barbell off the floor with your palms facing upwards and hands about shoulder width apart. Stand up straight, tense your mid section and lock your elbows at your sides. Keeping your elbows still, curl the barbell up as far as you can go. Lower the barbell back to the starting position.
Tips and Safety Advice:
Don’t swing the weight up – that’s cheating! Move the weight slowly in a controlled movement. Don’t lean back of move your elbows throughout the movement, this takes the pressure off your biceps and you will not get the full effect from the exercise.
