“Ageless Dreams” is program set forth in Western North Carolina at the Terrace at Riverstone. The program is designed to grant the wishes of senior citizens residing in living communities. One senior citizen, Marcia Schamp wanted to play basketball again. At 84-years-old, her wish was granted. She warmed up with Cherokee High’s varsity girls basketball players.
“It’s very exciting to have something like this possible,” she said.
How wonderful is it to have a program granting the simple wishes of our elders. A few moments during a basketball practice, gave one woman joy and taught many girls kindness.
