Business Insider named UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey the most dominant athlete alive, ranking the undefeated fighter above a host of other accomplished sports figures.
Rousey has been arguably the most dominant UFC champion of all time. She has finished all but one of her fights in the first round and hasn’t absorbed more than 28 strikes in any of her professional showdowns. In the bout where she took 28 shots, a rematch with Miesha Tate at UFC 168, Rousey landed 134 of her own en route to a third-round submission finish, the sixth of her career at that point.
The former Olympian’s last three fights have lasted a combined 1 minute, 36 seconds. Even more indicative of Rousey’s dominance, the Judoka has spent a total of 6 minutes and 43 seconds in the Octagon. That’s less than two rounds of actual fight time.
Dominant is right.
Also featured on the list are current WNBA stars Maya Moore (15) and Candace Parker (49), MLB standouts Miguel Cabrera (48) and Giancarlo Stanton (35), NBA MVPs LeBron James (2), Kevin Durant (50) and Stephen Curry (26), NFL defensive studs Ndamukong Suh (34) and J.J.
