“A little over a year ago, I sat down with a friend and set some goals. One of those hasn’t happened (yet) – to obtain my IFBB pro card. And focusing on business this year – @maxmusclemckinney (go follow that shit!!) – I am not planning to hit the stage again until 2018. I’m blessed, humbled, and even more motivated to say that the other two goals have happened. The first was to get published, and with the help of @cwmg, @magazinecenterstage, and @fierce_and_fancy, that happened last summer. Go follow them if you’re not already. The third goal was to get a cover, and thanks to @crandell17, @fierce_and_fancy, @upfrontmagazine, @candybee_,and of course – my homie and badass photog @cwmg, that is happening now.
The moral of the story? There are several. 1. Set some damn goals – no matter how big they seem. 2. Surround yourself with the right people and mindsets to stay on track. 3. Stay humble and keep grinding, like really fkn grind. 4. When you get knocked down – and you will get knocked down – you fkn GET. BACK. UP. 🦁❤️ These past few weeks have been CRAZY with business to-dos, and I know I’ve been MIA, guys. I appreciate you staying with me – I will be back and more vocal/responsive again within a couple weeks. 🙏🙏”
