Rattana Keomanivong, dubbed “Wendover Strongest” during a weightlifting fundraiser last summer in Wendover, NV, is recovering in a Salt Lake City, UT hospital days after being shot in the back of the head. Rattan, the owner of Animal House Training in West Wendover, was reportedly forced into her car at gunpoint during an attempted carjacking.

The incident occurred outside a Nevada casino where the alleged assailants, Angela Atwood and Logan Welles McFarland, attempted to take Rattana’s car. It is reported that Atwood forced Rattana into her car at gunpoint while McFarland drove in another stolen vehicle. Bodybuilder Rattana fought back, biting her assailants ear and neck, forcing her from the car.

Rattana was shot in the back of the head as she drove away. With the strength to survive, Rattana drove herself to the police station where she reported the incident before being airlifted to a hospital in Salt Lake City.

McFarland and Atwood were apprehended walking in the desert south of Oasis, NV. Both are in custody and have been linked to the murder of a couple in Mount Pleasant, UT.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Rattana for a speedy recovery and swift justice.
