Lenda Murray, 48-years-old, is perhaps one of the most iconic legends in women’s bodybuilding…actually there is no perhaps about it. She is one of the most iconic legends! Recently Lenda did an interview with FBBFAN.com and spoke candidly about her life and bodybuilding. She reassured her fans that she is fully retired; yet she will train like a bodybuilder for as long as she can. Her heart and dedication to the industry on and off the stage is part of the reason we love her so much.
Lenda has been staying very active in the industry with her involvement in the NPC, IFBB, training competitors and hosting the annual NPC Lenda Murray Bodybuilding, Figure and Bikini Championships. The show has been active for seven years now.
Lenda spoke about her life outside the gym and said: “My interests outside of Bodybuilding is AA meetings. I go to four AA meetings a week and serve as the Vice-President of the Exodus Allumni Group at Brotman Hospital. I love the 12 step program, it’s truly changed my physical and spiritual life. I’m now 3 years sober.”
