Fantasy Muscle: Artist Spotlight on Zebodoy

French artist Zebodoy is obsessed with muscles on women and draws them massive and ripped. His muscular detail is almost medical textbook quality and he pushes every muscle fiber to a size and definition only capable in the fantasy realm. The minimal earth tone color palette and ominous, angular faces give his artwork a rich and unique feel.

Little is known about Zebodoy, but he cites his favorite artists as Frank Frazetta, Brom, Travis Charest and Alex Ross. Besides Women’s Bodybuilding (and Andrulla Blanchette in particular), his other interests include drawing comics, science fiction and dark fantasy.

His website is now gone, but you can check out his DeviantArt page for more.

Zebo shows me that those of us who are attracted to female muscle are not always attracted to what could be termed as conventional beauty. With Zebo “pretty” just doesn’t cut it. Zebo tells me that my attraction to female muscle has more to do with their physical superiority and possession of strength. They can be grotesque and still be hot as Hell.
    I love this guys work.

    Well, what a surprise ^^
Thank you very much for this kind tribute, and your very nice words Steve.
I always fell honored when my point of view and artwork is respected and esteemed.
Few years ago, I stopped suddently to draw this kind of subject, no more mood, some boredom, changes in my life, etc..
But sometimes, when I saw back my pictures (even if I see now lot of drawing mistakes) I feel I can’t avoid this part of me.
I could call that, my dark side, but even if it’s look like unatural for the most part of people, it is not for me! not so much…
