Shondell Alfred, 27-years-old, a.k.a.the Mystery Lady, isn’t just the Women’s International Boxing Association (WIBA) bantamweight champion, she is a mother.

“It’s good; it’s so great being a boxer and a mother. I’m honoured to do that!” Shondell told reporters. “My son never misses any of my fights since he’s been born he always there. He supports me, he even wants to be a boxer.”

To date Shondell has secured 11 wins and five losses in her 16-fight career. Her last fight was one of Alfred’s toughest to date and there was a bit of controversy when the decision was announced, but the title was in her hands. Due to the controversy there is a rematch looming.

While most sons want to follow in the footsteps of their father for Cameron Alfred (her son), it’s all about mommy. She enjoys he juggle between the gym and motherhood. Her career began when she was only 18-years-old, and when her son was born three years ago she took time off to focus on the baby. She has made her return and she has done well. She has international recognition and three international titles to her name.
