Weightlifter Liu Chunhong, 24 , representing China, has already claimed gold in the? Athens and Beijing Olympic games. Three consecutive gold medals would not only make Liu’s career, but it would make history. Breaking and setting records is nothing new to this powerlifter. At the Beijing games, she shattered three world records; three world records she had set.
Since Beijing, Liu has suffered from back injuries. The set back is not something she considers a serious obstical. She is preparing for London by? competiting in the 11th Chinese National Games.
Liu commented ” [I]? still haven’t recovered to my best condition yet, so I will try to win the gold medal in the 11th Chinese National Games, but I will not give myself too much pressure. For me, the most important thing is to win the gold in London.”
