This service has been designed to answer questions that athletes have about their medical conditions. Many athletes have symptoms unique to their sport. This is especially true with bodybuilding. Medical doctors who are unfamiliar with bodybuilding may misdiagnose conditions as a result. Unfortunately, many athletes are uninsured and medical care is expensive.
For a low fee of $75 dollars you may email your medical question and receive an emailed comprehensive response. The goal is to help you in any way I can. You may need labs, Xrays, MRIs, CT scans or other diagnostic tests. I can fax a prescription for labs or other tests anywhere. Quest labs have provided me with a very low cost client price for labs. I won’t charge you anything above what they charge me, and we’ll get the answers you need.
If we are fortunate enough to come to a diagnostic conclusion based on your email question, there are no other charges. If you do need other tests, there is the same fee of $75 for an explanation of your results as well as the treatment options you may need. I hope this is seen as a very fair and inexpensive way of providing what I consider to be an underserved population – bodybuilders.
Physique competitors also fall into this category because of how extreme dieting may influence a woman’s hormonal balance. A lot of things can go physically wrong and you don’t know if its an expected response to your contest prep or if its something more serious. You may not be comfortable discussing this with your doctor.
I have articles in this website which may answer your question without needing the telemedicine service. But if you think you have a problem, this service is for you. All emails are confidential; my website is HIPPA compliant. You are my patient, and the doctor-patient privilege is the same as though you are in my office. When you email to me, you must ensure that you are the only person with access to my emailed response. I want you to have privacy just as though you were discussing your care with me behind closed doors.
I hope that I can help you – I look forward to hearing from you!
