Israeli Defense Forces Major-General Avi Zamir Bar Refaeli, is calling on his country to boycott the super model Bar Refaeli. The General told press,?
“At the end of the day, she is the one who has to look at herself in the mirror. We are a society that has an army, and Bar Refaeli doesn’t have to participate in ads for Fox [Israeli clothing company] and, if she advertises Fox, then you shouldn’t buy their products.”
Bar is said to have married a family friend? in 2004? in order to avoid her military duties. A marriage that dissolved almost as quickly as it began.
Bar asked, “Why is it good to die for our country? What, isn’t it better to live in New York? Why should 18-year-old kids have to die? It’s dumb that people have to die so that I can live in Israel.”
Bar is perhaps best known for? being the cover model for? Sports Illustrated in 2009 and her on-again-off-again relationship with Leonardo DiCaprio. She has certainly made a statement for her career and it’s development as a result of her actions.
