About
With an interesting and very impressive background, Amber is of Native American descent, is an Air Force Desert Storm veteran and a member of the Native American Sports Council, an official member of the United States Olympic Committee.
Amber is a member of the Omaha/Shoshone Bannock tribes and belongs to the Tapa (Deer) clan, one of seven clans within the Omaha nation.
She earned an athletic scholarship at Gannon University, Pennsylvania, and received a degree in Communications/English in 1990 and went onto receive a masters degree as well. Amber also served in the United States Air Force, and in addition to being a Desert Storm veteran she received the prestigious “Air Combat Command Athlete of the Year” award in 1992.
