>”I used to be a runner. I ran track and cross country in high school and the Kentucky Derby Mini-Marathon three times. My best time for the mini was 1:46. I walked on the cross country team at University of Louisville in 1997. This is when I started to really enjoy my time in the gym. I was able to work with excellent weight coaches in the varsity gym at U of L.”
“When I stopped running for U of L, my lifting became sparatic until March 2001 when I went to watch my first contest. After the beverly International I decided to lift heavy and start learning about bodybuilding. In April, I had a motorcycle wreck, which kept me out of the gym for four months. It was slow going until September, but I’ve been going strong ever since.”
