Can’t pass this one up, it is just too crazy to even make up!
You would think that the older you get the better you would be able to deal with people…well that may be a stretch, but surly roommates in a nursing home wouldn’t have to sleep with one cateract open! Not the case in a Massachusetts nursing home. Laura Lundquist, 98-years old, has been accused with suffocating Elizabeth Barrow, her 100 year old roommate. Laura complained that Elizabeth (pictured at her 100th birthday party)? had “too many visitors,”? and had made “threatening” and “harassing” remarks to her. I can’t help but wonder what she said, though I have ideas!
Elizabeth was found with a plastic bag tied around her head in what was initially thought to be a suicide…after suicide was ruled out, Laura was the chief suspect and moved to a hospital where she could be evaluated. If she were to stand trial, she could very well be the oldest women tried for murder in the U.S.
