Famed porn star Marilyn Chambers was born Marilyn Ann Briggs on April 22, 1952, and died April 12, 2009 at age 56.

She also did mainstream modeling, with her most visible modeling job being the “cover girl” on the Ivory Snow soap box.
She is best known for starring in Behind the Green Door, which was the first hardcore pornographic movie widely released in the United States.
Chambers also was one of the first porn stars to do interracial porn, which was said to “shock porno industry and viewing public”, and resulted in her parents not speaking to her for years [as a side note, the irony of people, or parents of people who have sex with tons of people on camera having the audacity to be racist does not escape me]
Also dabbling in fringe politics, she she ran for Vice President in the 2004 and 2008 United States presidential elections on the Personal Choice Party tickets.
