Before Kathryn Bigelow was a Hollywood hit and? an Oscar Award winning Director for “The Hurt Locker,” she lead? quite the life.? But now “The? Hurt Locker”, which? picked up? ? Best Picture, Best Screenplay and Best Director at the 2010 Oscars, has her a Hollywood Cinderella.
In the ’70’s, before she was ‘anybody,’ Kathryn didn’t have the typical ‘I’m going to be somebody someday job,’ of a waitress or a? temp, nope, she worked construction. Even as a Hollywood director, she has kept from all diva activities. She roughed it out in the desert of the film with the rest of the crew; working in tempertures of up to 115 degrees and? in horrible conditions.
The NewYork Post reports: “Kathryn Bigelow was a bit of a tomboy. She liked riding horses and being outside — pastimes she continues to enjoy today. She often spends a couple of hours a day hiking through the hills near her Beverly Hills mansion, and if you saw the 58-year-old’s arms on Sunday (yes, she’s 58!), you can guess she works out religiously.”
