Excuse me as I go into a personal rant.
I recently decided to get back into tip top competition shape, and I am an all or nothing person, so went into the tried and true ketogenic diet style, which I know from past experience works great for me. Ketogenic, for anyone who may not know, basically means eating protein only, eg: meat/eggs and low carb items like lettuce.
Yesterday, I completely ran out of protein and plant based food and, but being lazy said I will go to the grocery shop the next day, completely forgetting it was a holiday. Today I discovered to my horror no stores are open in a 2 hour radius.
Bear in mind, I live in a very small town – ergo no stores are open. I have considered barging in on a neighbor and asking for some chicken, but feel uncomfortable about that. The etiquette of borrowing food from neighbors seems to revolve around cups of sugar and milk, not a chicken breast. More importantly, none of my neighbors are home.
I am now in my 30th hour of surviving on whey protein drinks [only protein source I have in the house], and aware that I have another 12 hours till any stores open. Being hardcore I refuse to break my diet or state of ketosis.
To cut a long story short, I am this close to eating my computer.
Therefore if my next few posts seem incoherent or insane, please excuse me.
Oh and yes, Happy Good Friday to everyone.
