There’s a new national sports trend all across the USA and around the world.
Thousands of young women are joining the ‘world’s oldest and greatest sport’.
People everywhere are learning that wrestling is for girls.
This sport, practiced in humankind’s earliest civilizations, and showcased in both the ancient
and modern Olympics, is becoming popular with girls and women.
The thrill of one-on-one competition, along with the personal benefits that
wrestling offers, are now available to women everywhere.

NYAC Christmas Invitational 2004

The tournament was held at the world-famous New York Athletic Club, at 180 Central Park South in Manhattan. The new rules of international wrestling were in place, which take effect worldwide starting in January, 2005.

Each style was contested over just one day. This is consistent with the new international rules, which provides that each weight class will be started and finished on the same day.

Many of the nation’s top wrestlers in each style participated. This included athletes from outstanding club programs such as the host New York AC, the Dave Schultz WC, the Sunkist Kids, the Gator WC, the Minnesota Storm, the U.S. Army and others. A number of talented athletes from Canada also participated.
