Today, all you hear about are “apps”. ? Apps for this, apps for that. ? Right behind apps are “widgets”, but for the sake of this article we’re going to stick with apps. ? We’re not going to get into phone apps, but Facebook apps. ? The reason I’m even bringing this to your attention is because these apps and widgets are invariably linked in someway to social media platforms. ? The largest social media platform in the world is Facebook. ? Facebook is ranked at the #2 website in the world, we all know #1 is Google(right?). ? Anyway, other social media platforms consist of Twitter, Flickr, RSS, YouTube, etc.. ? Of course, the biggest and most significant is Facebook. Because I’ve been online for over 15 years, I fashion myself somewhat of a techno-geek and oftentimes attend the various technology Meet-ups here in NYC. ? I try to stay plugged in on all the latest “Plug-ins”, so to speak. ? So this past week something comes to my attention that I just had to share. ? I know many of our readers have Facebook Fan Pages, or know someone who has a business page, company page, or whatever. ? You may also notice that people have been pimping out their respective Facebook Fan Pages with all sorts of new and interesting things. ? There are even companies you can pay to pimp out your Facebook Page. ? Crazy right? ? Not “Pimp my Ride”, but “Pimp my Page”. ? So this past week, there’s a company who has developed an app(or apps) that allows you to connect and configure all of your different social media platforms to your Facebook Fan Page for FREE. ? When you see that print, radio and TV have all taken a backseat to online marketing; and nowadays all you hear is Social Media-this and Social Media-that. ? So the fact that a company has unveiled a free service to connect all your social media to the the largest social media platform(Facebook), it would seem that this is a significant achievement and should be shared with anyone who could possibly benefit from this. ?
