There are many things unique to Canada. One more to add to the list is Loggersports. This unique sport combines an array of pretty interesting events. Some of them you may be familiar with, chain saw carving, log decking, pulp throw, pole climb, axe throw, quarter split, water boil, underhand chop and crosscut saw. But most of the events probably have you scratching your head. What I do know is these girls are tough and much of it is ability and athleticism, not just brute strength. The girls at Flemming College practice four days a week, two hours a day. This year marks their 27th year in the sport.? The teams each have seven athletes. This year alone the school had over 150 women tryout for a spot on one of the schools four teams.
